◉ Atsushi Shikano (MUSICA) Liner Notes
It is a band that boasts a performance with ridiculous melody power and ridiculous melody reading comprehension.
What a big word, but I only recently learned about UTERUS from a band that has been formed for about 25 years. The music that was heard from the band apart Hara saying, "Because I joined this band," is this "Kazenai", which is a dream from the bottom of my heart, no matter if that beard slur is in front of me. It was. The sound source many years ago and this album are all so. It's a band whose songs themselves give off the freshness of "Evergreen is this". In a world where everyone is dancing to the word "clear water of Mt. Fuji" and buying expensive water, I would like to say loudly that the music of this band is much cleaner. No, say.
I'd like you to read it as a drinker's idiot, but if you dare to express the melody to humans, I think it's a facial expression. Then, the chord (chord progression) is the "spine", and the groove (the rhythm itself and the rhythm itself) is the "hipbone". By the way, the development, arrangement, sound, ensemble, etc. of other songs are "muscles, clothes, accessories, and makeup", and last but not least, the lyrics are "mouth" although they are not metaphorical. .. Things (words) released from the mouth are sometimes easy to understand, sometimes thankful, and sometimes noisy.
What I want to say is that the more I try to get to know humans, the more "facial expressions are everything". I don't really know what the spine and hip bones of a loved one are until I become a married couple, and makeup, clothes, and sometimes muscles represent that person very much, but after all, it's just a "thing" when taken off or peeled off. There is no essential importance there.
But what about your facial expressions? For the time being, I haven't forgotten the facial expressions of the moment when I recognized the person I liked, the person I cherished, and the person I loved. I'm living a life with someone, feeling that it wouldn't be like this without that expression.
UTERUS's melody = facial expression is indescribably happy and ephemeral, and he is at a loss and is in trouble, but he still believes in something and is staring at the winding road. It's a really unbearable expression.
Then, all the members read the expression of the songwriter Osawa with conviction and conviction, and make it sound. Moreover, I don't disturb my facial expression as much as possible, but I want to make that facial expression stand out, and above all, I want to let as many people as possible know, so I carefully arrange styling and make-up full of love. In short, I finish the song with the best bandship. The sophisticated arrangement is not a fashionable thing, but a straightforward expression of affection for those who are obsessed with music and melodies. That's why every song is ridiculously soulful.
Anyway, it's a great band. It can't be helped to say that it was buried until now. Right now, I just want to deepen my luck with the evergreen band by listening to the album "Kaze Tachinu".
I'm sure the wind will blow.

"Windless" liner notes
To UTERUS "Kazetanu"
There was a strange man named Yusuke Osawa in a band called UTERUS, who was a guitar vocalist of UTERUS when I met him. It seems that UTERUS has a long history, and there used to be a female vocalist. I have a vague memory when I first learned about the existence of UTERUS, but maybe it was around 2001. I remember playing with GaGaGa SP at a live house called pi: z in Kobe when I went to see it between tours, but I don't remember it too long ago. It may be different. However, the live was very good. A live house filled with people in a small, low-ceiling basement. The sound was big, but the one who made a big sound was erratic, and only UTERUS was the music. I think the word "musicality" is just a deception, but I fell in love with UTERUS music. It was a superb pop song. However, it was strange. I'm not careful. Perhaps that is the duality of Yusuke Osawa. I was struck by the song "Youth Jet" that I heard at the concert at that time, but I didn't talk to him that day. I could have said that I would like to be introduced, but I didn't. Originally, I'm not the type of person who finds a favorite band in a live house and immediately goes to the dressing room to talk. When I see a good band, I want to go home with that lingering sound. Especially if it's a live concert where you aren't out. I think that there is also the same regret as an artist when I think about it now. The joy and impatience of meeting a great band. But even so, if I feel a strange connection, I will be able to meet again someday. We got to know each other rather quickly, partly because we had a common friend around us. After that, I made friends with STANCE PUNKS, where I played the bass several times. He was a passionate, friend-minded man. There is an episode that tells that, so I would like to introduce one.
During the STANCE PUNKS tour in Kagoshima, I had an eye disease called retinal detachment. He was absolutely at rest and was forced to stay in the hospital for more than a month on a bed other than the toilet. Moreover, it recurred one week before discharge, and after two operations, the discharge was extended, and Yusuke came to visit me every day when I was mentally involved. Without missing a day. Have a cartoon Tsurumoku single dormitory. And I talked about various things. His attitude towards music was always straightforward, and his attitude towards the commercial music industry was punk because of his innocence. There is no doubt that this is one of the reasons that UTERUS has moved away from commercial success. However, such a band was not uncommon at that time.
After he moved from Tokyo to Kobe, they became estranged from each other for a while. I occasionally heard stories from the members of the common band member GaGaGa SP, but I don't think I would meet them until he came here again. We met again in Yokohama, and after that we started to perform solo with each other, and we got in touch with each other again. And he restarted the new UTERUS. It also gathers people who are extremely interesting.
This is a preface so you don't have to use it.
Please use from the text below.
(Because I used it as it is! Lol by Yusuke Osawa)
About 20 years ago, we certainly lived in an era when we had dreams in a band. A little light of hope was shining into the dim basement. We met in the midst of that, and after 20 years, we are still wandering in our dreams.
The earth will orbit the sun about 20 times, and soon the world will move to a new phase. Now, the world is covered with blindness. It erodes us from both the outside and the inside. Still, the reason we can be confused somewhere is that music from all over the world hasn't stopped. I want to create music that still resonates inside this chest, and I want to make this chest dance with the music you make. When I and you get this new song from UTERUS, you should think, "I haven't thrown away the world yet."
